Tradition, sport and culture come together at the public World Cup Bib Draw

On Saturday evening, Plaza Carlemany (Carlemany square) in Canillo becomes the setting for one of the most significant events on the social programme (Ski Festival) of the Audi FIS World Cup Andorra 2026: the public Bib Draw. The event, which brought together around 400 people, combines the awards ceremony of Saturday’s Super-G competition with the draw for the first ten bibs for Sunday’s second SG race, offering fans the opportunity to vividly experience the excitement of the competition and to get up close to the best skiers on the international circuit.

At previous events, the racers from the Andorran Ski Federation (FAE), Cande Moreno and Jordina Caminal, have been the stars of an autograph signing session that attracted large numbers of fans and have contributed to building the exciting atmosphere before the highlight of the main event.

The Bib Draw has always stood out because of its original production: the racers discover their bibs by choosing one of the sculptures, created especially for the occasion, that are in the shape of an eagle, being the animal that the competition slope gets its name from. This original format brings symbolism and identity to the event.

Similar previous editions of the evening event have also featured the participation of the “Esbart Dansaire de les Valls del Nord” (traditional folk dance troupe). They have filled the square with music, dance and tradition, showcasing Andorran popular culture to the world and strengthening the link between the region and sport.

With this event, the Ski Festival further strengthens its commitment to offering experiences that go beyond competition, bringing elite sport closer to the public and fully integrating it into the cultural life of the country.
