The world's top speed specialists are already training on the Àliga course for the World Cup
Grandvalira is already feeling the World Cup atmosphere. Starting this week, the best speed discipline racers in the world are testing the course of the iconic Àliga slope, the stage for the downhill and super-G races that will take place on February 27 and 28 and March 1. The competition, part of the official alpine skiing World Cup calendar of the International Ski Federation (FIS), will bring the world’s female speed elite to Andorra. Among the top athletes already training these days on the Àliga slope are major names from the international circuit such as the Italian Sofia Goggia, her compatriot Elena Curtoni, the Italian sisters Nadia Delago and Nicol Delago, the Czech Ester Ledecká, as well as a prominent representation from the United States, France, and Switzerland teams.
The Andorran representation will be led by skier Jordina Caminal, who is already preparing for the events by training on the course and will compete at home in front of her fans.
Throughout the week, more athletes will join the training sessions who will compete in the Audi FIS Ski World Cup Andorra 2026.
