Andorra 2029

Following the announcement by the FIS in May 2022 in Milan of the venue for the 2027 Alpine World Ski Championships, which was awarded to Crans Montana (Switzerland), the Andorra 2027 Technical Bureau has set off again with the firm intention of hosting the World Championships in 2029 and making history.

An innovative project

The Andorra 2029 project, on which work is already underway, is a solvent and conceptually innovative proposal. It will seek to strengthen the emotional link with the citizens, as it is a national bid, a characteristic that distinguishes it from the resorts that have traditionally hosted World Cups.

The Andorran proposal is also characterized by the incorporation of the concept of "sportainment", with the combination of sporting spectacle and entertainment outside the races.

The project highlights the fact that it has a compact site, as the competition venues, accommodation and complementary services are located within a maximum radius of 2.5 km.

Andorra, a country of snow that inspires new generations.
