Free shuttle service between Canillo and Grau Roig for the Soldeu Women's World Cup
Spectators that share cars will be able to use the VIP transport from El Tarter
The Grau Roig and Pas de la Casa sectors will open at 08:00h in the morning to allow access via the pistes
With the aim of making travel easier to allow everyone to experience the Soldeu 2024 Women's Alpine Ski World Cup in the Grandvalira ski area on the 10th and 11th of February, the event organisers are making a free transport service available from the Grau Roig and Canillo car parks between 08:00h and 17:00h, which will also make stops at the El Tarter car parks. With regard to Canillo, the area that was the Camping Pla camp site will once again be made available during the World Cup weekend as a car parking area that will provide 250 additional spaces to the village’s capacity.
Furthermore, in addition to a free shuttle between El Tarter and Soldeu that will cover the public transport service stops and will be aimed at people with accreditation (volunteers, press, teams, etc.), there will also be a direct connection between the Cal Gastó car park in El Tarter and Soldeu village for people with VIP tickets. A new feature for this edition is that this transport will also be able to be used by anyone that travels in vehicles with at least four occupied seats. The initiative is called 'We will transport you VIP style' and it aims to encourage car sharing, either on a private basis or via the website http://andorra.compartir.org/.
The aim of these measures is to reduce the use of private vehicles to make the event as environmentally sustainable as possible. In addition, to make it easier for spectators to arrive via the pistes, the Grau Roig and Pas de la Casa sectors will open the pistes at an earlier time of 08:00h that weekend.
Finally, as was the case at last year’s World Cup Finals, the racing teams’ schedules have been fully optimized to reduce the number of unnecessary journeys.
